The EDIVI network (Education for design for living, a network of design higher education centers for social innovation and sustainability), proposes a meeting about design focused on people and the planet as a key to a sustainable future, in the context of the European Year of Young People.
Design, with its processes, methods and tools, allows us to project possible futures. These futures can pose utopian scenarios that propose solutions to both people and planet problems and provide us with a vision and a goal where to look and walk. On the other hand, these futures may also propose dystopian scenarios, where our actions in the present harm ourselves in the future, and makes us think and debate in the world that design creates today and provides us with a vision of the future. where we do not want to go.
At this meeting, students from the design schools of the EDIVI network show us projects that ask questions and propose solutions, looking to the future from the present and visualizing the transformative impact of design on people, society and the planet. The session will have a format of project presentations and open debate.
La xarxa EDIVI (Educació per al disseny per viure, xarxa de centres d’ensenyament superior de disseny per a la innovació social i la sostenibilitat), proposa una trobada sobre el disseny centrat en les persones i en el planeta com a clau per a un futur sostenible, en el context de l’any europeu de la gent jove.
El disseny, amb els seus processos, mètodes i eines, ens permet projectar futurs possibles. Aquests futurs poden plantejar escenaris utòpics que proposen solucions a problemes actuals de les persones i del planeta i ens proporcionen una visió i un objectiu cap a on mirar i caminar. Per altra banda, aquests futurs també poden proposar escenaris distòpics, on les nostres accions en el present ens perjudiquen a nosaltres mateixos en el futur, i ens fa pensar i debatre en el mon que crea el disseny avui i ens proporciona una visió de cap a on no volem anar.
En aquesta trobada, estudiants de les escoles de disseny de la xarxa EDIVI ens mostren projectes que plantegen preguntes y proposen solucions, tot mirant el futur des del present i visualitzant l’impacte transformador del disseny en les persones, la societat i el planeta. La sessió tindrà un format de presentacions de projectes i debat obert.
